The book Ave Eva is nominated in the USA in the category 'International Best Brochure Competition 2012' with over 19,000 participating books.
Documenta's official track was staging an exhibition on satirical art in Europe. Karl was invited to take part displaying 10 works.
The works are traveling in 2013 to the Museum of Humorous Art in Frankfurt.

ATLAS Publishers Amsterdam has chosen Karl as regular illustrator for all new books and publications by Jeroen Brouwers. "De Jaargetijden" will be published in the autumn of 2010. The new novel "Bittere bloemen" will be published at the start of 2011
Until September 2007 there was an exhibition in the Consulate General of Belgium of 32 original Karl Meersman drawings.
