“Vulnerability” Karl sais when people ask what the exhibition is about. “Vulnerability of the climate, of man and also of the artist.” Master storyteller Wouter Deprez was the perfect companion during all those years and wrote a witty audio guide.
The audio-exhibition KANTELTIJD (TILTING TIME) is also to be revisited in an artful catalogue, published by Hannibal-Books.
In that way, you can take the exhibition home with you.

This drawing won the First Prize Press Cartoon Belgium 2020. It shows the Belgian climate activist Anuna De Wever, surrounded by politicians burying their head in the sand.
Bert Kruismans, Jan De Smet and Karl Meersman go out on tour for the last time.
The narrator, the musician and the artist have been enthusiastically received in recent years!

In september 2019 Karl takes up the moral sponsorship of KOTK, "Art to cherish".

From September 8th untill December 30th, Karl will be ‘artist in residence' in Saint-Hiëronymus, a reknown psychiatric centre in St-Niklaas.
He will be working with residents two days a week. The central theme is ‘portraits'.
